TWO-DAY WORKSHOPS.  "Writing That Works"  and "Photography That Gets Published" workshops will be given by Chelo Banal-Formoso and Mandy Navasero, respectively. Day 1, consisting of lectures and actual exercises, will be held on April 27, Thursday, at Two Gardens in Silang, Cavite. Day 2, consisting of sharing and critiques, will be held on May 4 at the LRI Bldg., Rm. 329, LRI Design Plaza, 210 Nicanor Garcia St., Bel Air 2, Makati City.

6:00 a.m. - Departure for Silang (meet at LRI Design Plaza, 210 Nicanor Garcia St. Bel Air 2, Makati City; call Mandy 09957918190)

8:00 a.m. - Breakfast at Two Gardens

9:00 a.m. - Writing Workshop 

(Participants will do writing exercises and will be asked to choose a writing topic to complement the photos they will be taking in the afternoon.) 

12 noon - Lunch break

1:00 p.m. - Photography lecture, demo and shoot 

(Participants will learn to shoot, select and edit photographs. They may take photographs themed around gardening, travel and destination, flora and fauna, the wedding place or any other subject at Two Gardens.)

Participants must email their writings with their names to chelobf@gmail.com and their photos with their names  to mandynavasero@yahoo.com or luzamandolina@gmail.com by May 2. 

Participants are requested to print two (2) of their favorite pictures on 8 x 10 paper, mounted on an 11 x 14 board, and to bring these to the May 4 sessions.

May 4, 2017, Thursday, Room 329, LRI Design Plaza 

9:00 a.m. - Writers' Circle (Participants will share their writings and will receive  feedback on emailed work.)  

12:00 noon -  Lunch break.  

1:00 p.m. - Critique on photographs submitted by participants

Fee:  P7,500.00 with certificate.  

Registration cut off is on  April 12. Full payment. Not refundable and non-transferrable.

What to wear:

Dress light and wear comfy shoes. Those who want their portrait taken may bring a more colorful shirt.

What to bring:

Tablet, notebook or laptop. Camera/flash/batteries/chargers with memory cards. Hats, fans, towels. Energy snacks.
